Mesopotamia Final Assessment Study Guide: Unit Test Friday 11/22

·        Review Chapter 3 lessons 1-4 (pages 94-119)

·        Review key vocabulary terms – tributary, plateau, alluvial plain, silt, city-state, monarchy, authority, polytheism, caravan, architecture, innovation, almanac, ziggurat, cuneiform, scribe, and deity

·        Map Skills – be able to identify absolute and relative location

·        Be familiar with the main geographic features of Mesopotamia and how they helped the people

·        Identify technological advances of the Mesopotamians and the impact they have on us today

·        List the social classes in the Standard of Ur and specific jobs for each class

·        Review the Five Themes of Geography

·        Compare/Contrast the Governments of Mesopotamia and the United States

·        Timeline Skills both B.C. and A.D.
