Economy Unit Study Guide

For the past 3 weeks we have focused on learning goals related to Economics.  On Tuesday October 15, 2013 you will be taking the Final Economy Unit Assessment.  Refer to the following to help guide your studying and prepare you for the test: I will also be offering an afterschool study session on Monday October 14th 2:30-3:15

·       Understand learning goals outlined for the unit on the front of your packet.

·       Study vocabulary terms from the 1^st and 2^nd page of your packet.

·       Be able to explain the productive resources of a product (see academic notebook example-Nike Shoe)

·       Be able to answer questions about Supply and Demand using a scenario (refer to the chicken farm pages in packet)

·       Be able to identify the ways of allocating resources (see academic notebook and packet scenario cards)

·       Be able to read and analyze information about different countries’ economy and identify and/or explain the importance of global trade. (refer to International Trade worksheet/Can You Think Like an Economist activity in packet)

Ancient China Unit test Study Guide

The Unit Test for Ancient China will be on Tuesday May 21^st

To help guide your studies:

·        Understand the effects the physical features of the land had on civilizations

·        Physical features of the regions of China

·        What is the Mandate of Heaven

·        The ideas of Confucius and Confucianism

·        The purpose of the Great Wall

·        Innovations borrowed by Europeans

·        The heritage of China(ex. Stories and Legends)

·        You will be required to read a flow chart and answer questions about it

·        Be able to identify at least two contributions from one of the dynasties (Han, Zhou, Qin)

Christianity Unit Test Study Guide

The Unit Test for Christianity will be Tuesday February 5, 2013.  Information on the test will be over Ch.14 Lesson 2 and Lesson 3.  The following information will help guide studying:

·         Be familiar with the Learning Goals on the front of your Christianity Packet

·         Understand the differences of religious beliefs between the Jewish people, Christians, and the Romans.

·         Know the origin and founding leader of Christianity

·         Know Key Vocabulary terms from Lesson 2 and Lesson 3

·         Explain Constantine the Great’s influence on the spread of Christianity in the Roman Empire.

·         Explain two specific political or social factors that contributed to the spread of Christianity.

·         Identify modern day evidence of the diffusion of the Christian church

Judaism Unit Study Guide

    Your Unit Test will Be Wednesday January 23rd. The test will cover information from Ch. 6 Lesson 1 & 2 and Chapter 7 Lesson 1 & 2.    Use the following information to help guide your studying for the Unit Test:
