The Unit test for Islam will be Thursday 2/21.  To help guide your study for the test use the following information.

Get familiar with the Learning Goals on the front of your packet

Understand the Main purpose of the Christian Crusades

The importance of the journey to Mecca

Know the Five Pillars of Islam

Muslim Achievements

Why they only have arabesques for artwork

Founding leader and geographic origin of Islam, sacred text, places of worship

Key Vocabulary terms

Explain Islamic tradition and diffusion and the influence on modern cultural practices (modern day evidence)

Explain Political, Social, and Economic factors that caused movement of the Muslims and their ideas and products.

Christianity Unit Test Study Guide


The Unit Test for Christianity will be Tuesday February 5, 2013.  Information on the test will be over Ch.14 Lesson 2 and Lesson 3.  The following information will help guide studying:

·         Be familiar with the Learning Goals on the front of your Christianity Packet

·         Understand the differences of religious beliefs between the Jewish people, Christians, and the Romans.

·         Know the origin and founding leader of Christianity

·         Know Key Vocabulary terms from Lesson 2 and Lesson 3

·         Explain Constantine the Great’s influence on the spread of Christianity in the Roman Empire.

·         Explain two specific political or social factors that contributed to the spread of Christianity.

·         Identify modern day evidence of the diffusion of the Christian church

Judaism Unit Study Guide

    Your Unit Test will Be Wednesday January 23rd. The test will cover information from Ch. 6 Lesson 1 & 2 and Chapter 7 Lesson 1 & 2.    Use the following information to help guide your studying for the Unit Test:

Make sure you are familiar with the Learning Goals on the front cover of your packet.

Ancient Egypt Unit Test Study Guide


Ancient Egypt Study Guide

Your final Egypt Assessment will be on Friday, December 14th. It will include all four lessons from Chapter four; The Nile Valley, The Old Kingdom, The Middle Kingdom, and the New Kingdom. You need to review both the gold and blue packets to make sure you are prepared for the assessment. The test will consist of multiple choice, map skills, timelines, short and extended response questions, fill in the blank and also a reading passage with questions. Be able to explain the following, which were the key learning goals for our study of Ancient Egypt:
1. Describe the influence of geography on the development of Egypt.
2. Describe the culture of the Egyptians including religious beliefs, social classes, and daily life.
3. Describe the technologies and achievements of the Egyptians.
4. Describe the agricultural practices and products and how they impacted the Egyptians and their economy.
5. Describe the government of Ancient Egypt including who was in charge and how they were viewed.  Know examples of how their government could be considered a theocracy.
6. Describe the economic systems of Ancient Egypt including trade and growth of the kingdom.
